The Principal Flutist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for over thirty years, he holds the longest tenure as a major symphony orchestra Principal Flutist among his generational peers. | Sharon Sparrow is the Second Flutist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She studied at the Julliard School and Mannes College with Julius Baker and Thomas Nyfenger. |

| Philip Dikeman is the Assistant Principal Flutist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He attended the Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he studied with Robert Willoughby, and the Yale School of Music where he studied with Thomas Nyfenger. | Jeffery Zook has served as Flutist and Piccoloist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra since 1992. Mr. Zook has taught at Oakland University and the University of Michigan. |
